Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Smithville, Ohio, ordained Jeff Dilyard, pastor of the church since June 2023.
Jeff grew up attending Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and studied at Faith Baptist Bible College, returning to the church every summer to serve as an intern. He earned a BA in pastoral studies in 2021 and served as associate pastor from July 2022 until he accepted the pastorate the following year. In 2023 he also earned an MDiv from Faith Baptist Theological Seminary.
“The Lord has worked graciously through all these years,” Jeff says.
In the ordination service Jan. 14, Outreach Pastor Dwight Strickland gave a charge to Jeff, and Pastor Emeritus Stephen Olsen gave a charge to the church. Stephen was pastor of the church from 1978 until his retirement in 2023.
Closing the service, the church’s leaders and ordained guests prayed over Jeff.
