Berean Baptist Church, Portage, Michigan, called Josh Greiner as pastor.
Josh was previously pastor of Faith West Ministries at Faith Church, Lafayette, Indiana, overseeing the church’s West campus.
“We are excited about what God’s going to do in the months and years ahead,” said Steve Nichols, associate pastor of music and worship, in the worship service Oct. 1. The congregation welcomed Josh and his family—his wife, Shana, and their four children—to the church during that service.
The church has begun a building campaign to expand its space so even more people can be welcomed into the church family.
In a video for that campaign, member Kim Powers said, “You never know what your words mean. It’s so important—you know, those little things . . . [such as] inviting someone to sit with you, welcoming in a [visitor], or even welcoming people who’ve been a part of the church for a long time. And Berean does just that.
“So we’re super excited for this next season with a new pastor in the building campaign and what God is doing in Berean. And we just pray that God continues to reach the lost in this town.”
