Faith Baptist Tabernacle, Sherburne, New York, celebrated its 75 anniversary.
Missionaries, friends, and former pastors joined the church family for its celebratory worship service Sept. 10. “What a special day together to celebrate 75 years of God’s faithfulness,” the church says.
That panel was “one of the parts I was most excited about,” says Associate Pastor Steve Wynn, who was on the anniversary planning committee and moderated the panel. It’s one thing to learn about the church’s history, he says, but “it’s something else to hear from the people who were there.”
The panel members shared their favorite memories, first memories, and funniest memories of the church. But most important, Steve says, they shared the times “when God’s faithfulness was truly shown” in the church.
God showed His faithfulness from the very beginning of the church in 1948, Pastor Fischer says. The founding of Faith Baptist Tabernacle “was a movement of folks who innately trusted in God’s faithfulness.”
