Lucile Safstrom, a pastor’s wife, died July 21. She was 86.
Lucile served alongside her husband, Gerald, as he pastored churches including Belden Avenue Baptist Church in Chicago and Thompson (Pennsylvania) Baptist Church.
At many churches where they served, Lucile was the choir director and played many instruments, including bells, organ, and trumpet.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gerald; her children, Richard, Donna Meyers, Diane Stevens, and Daniel; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
