LETTER FROM THE INTERIM NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVE
Greetings in the name of our wonderful Lord Jesus!
“But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world” (Galatians 6:14).
April 9 is Easter Sunday, when churches especially celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Whenever we gather as local churches, we celebrate, review, remember, and rehearse the awful, wonderful death of Christ for us, sinners.
The essence of God’s grace is communicated so succinctly in Paul’s words: “For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. . . . But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:6, 8).
In your private study of the Word of God, around the family dinner table, when tucking your children into bed, when gathering with your church, exult in Jesus Christ our Savior! Share the good news first heard that Easter morning: “He is not here! He is risen as He said!”
May God give you great joy this Easter along with a great harvest of souls as you exclaim, ”Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!”
In His Grace,
David E. Strope, D.D.
Interim National Representative
