First Baptist Church, Elyria, Ohio, and First Baptist Church, Wellington, Ohio, welcomed David Strope to speak March 19.
David, interim national representative of the GARBC, presented an update about Regular Baptist Ministries and preached at both churches. “Both churches have been affiliated with the GARBC from the earliest days of our fellowship,” he says.
David Burman Jr. is pastor of the Elyria church, and Tom Alexander (in photo above, center, with David, left) is pastor of the Wellington church. Both pastors also serve on the GARBC Council of 18.
David Strope “has been a good friend and someone who has a great heart for the Word of God and a great heart for churches,” says David Burman Jr. He thanked David Strope for his ministry of “reaching out into churches.”
He next traveled to Dysart, Iowa, where he spoke at Calvary Baptist Church March 26.
Dysart “is a small farming town 30 minutes from almost everywhere,” David says. Daniel Hartwig is pastor of this rural, growing church.
“Many new members learned of the multiple blessings of fellowship with the GARBC, receiving the ministry report with glad questions and much rejoicing,” David says. Along with sharing about Regular Baptist Ministries, he preached from Titus 2:11–14 on “The Epiphany of God’s Grace.”
“I’ll soon be branching from visiting just three vowel, one consonant states!” David says, as ministry visits in April will take him to Florida and Arizona.
