First Baptist Church, Lapeer, Michigan, called Willie Felderman as associate pastor.
First Baptist is “grateful and excited” for Willie to join the pastoral team, serving and leading the church with Pastor Ross Shannon and Associate Pastor Kevin Moses.
Willie Felderman was a member of Clear Lake (Iowa) Baptist Church for the past five years while working as the program director for Iowa Regular Baptist Camp.
During that time, Clear Lake Baptist Church “intentionally invested in him—giving him opportunities to teach, lead, disciple, and grow in pastoral responsibility,” Clear Lake Baptist says.
“As he faithfully served both at camp and in our local church, it became increasingly clear that God was shaping and confirming His call on Willie’s life for pastoral ministry. His love for the Word, for people, and for the local church has been evident throughout those years.”
On February 22, Clear Lake Baptist held a commissioning service for Willie as a “formal recognition of that clear call” to pastoral ministry and to “send the Felderman family off with our love and prayers.”
“We are thankful for the way Willie has already modeled faithful ministry among us and are excited to see how the Lord will use him in this next season,” Clear Lake Baptist says.
The commissioning service was “a meaningful milestone” for Clear Lake Baptist, reflecting the church’s “desire not only to grow as a congregation but also to equip and send out more disciple makers.”
