The Iowa Association of Regular Baptist Churches called Will Hatfield to serve as its state representative.
Will has been lead pastor of CrossRoad Baptist Church, Ames, Iowa, since 2005. In addition to his pastorate, he is a member of the IARBC Council of 10 and the GARBC Council of 18.
Will’s vision is for the IARBC to focus on church planting and revitalization through its ministry of care, coaching, and collaboration.
Fellowshipping churches elected him to the role during the association’s business meeting November 15 at Ankeny (Iowa) Baptist Church.
He will begin the role on May 1.
Tim Capon, who will retire after serving as state representative since 2009, notes, “The transition plan includes some time of overlap before and after that date so he and I can work together to make this as smooth a transition as possible.”
Tim adds, “Give thanks to the Lord for His clear direction during this process.”
