First Baptist Church, Pana, Illinois, ordained Steven Thompson, associate pastor of the church since 2020.
“His grasp on Biblical doctrine and godly life were demonstrated as he was examined by the ordination council made up of 17 men from churches across the Illinois-Missouri Association of Regular Baptist Churches,” says Josh Palma, pastor of First Baptist. “The council found him to be very prepared and teachable. His tender heart for people to know Christ was evident.”
In addition to his role at the church, Steven is involved in the community as the head coach for the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams at Pana High School.
