In the week between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, the Northeast Fellowship hosted Marriage Refresh, an annual event for married couples to celebrate and build their marriages.
The last seven of these retreats have taken place at Harbor Hotel, Watkins Glen, New York. Since this town’s claim to fame is a yearly NASCAR race, the 2025 Marriage Refresh theme was “At the Speed of Love,” a look at 1 Corinthians 13:4–7 and its directives on when to slow down and speed up love in marriage.
“The finale of the retreat was the making of a video featuring each couple by the length of their marriage,” says Brian King, executive director of the Northeast Fellowship. That video has now been viewed over two million times.
Brian adds, “As some guests have learned,” the Marriage Refresh retreat is “the perfect gift to give each other” as they invest in the “most important human relationship that God has given you.”
