Pastors and their wives from Regular Baptist churches in Illinois enjoyed a retreat of fellowship, encouragement from the Word, and lots of fun and laughter.
Gathering at a hotel in East Peoria, Illinois, April 10–11, the group heard from Dean and Faith Taylor. Dean is pastor of ministry development at Ballard Creek Church, a church in the Des Moines area planted in 2022 by the Engage Network, a ministry started by Saylorville Church in Des Moines to multiply churches and leaders. His wife, Faith, is director of the women’s ministry program at FBBC.
Dean spoke in the general session, then once more to the men while Faith spoke to the ladies in their own session.
“The unity and love between the Illinois churches really is a special thing which we don’t take for granted,” says Dave Fox, pastor of Grace Church, Springfield, Illinois. “We are blessed with a great fellowship.”
