CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa.—More than 300 pastors and church workers attended the first Church Ministries Conference at Baptist Bible College & Seminary. Nearly 50 churches were represented at the conference, held March 28 and 29.
Youth pastor Jon Ransom from Faith Baptist Church in Binghamton, New York, remarked, “I’m very excited to be here. We were able to bring over 25 people from our church, and I can’t wait to see how God will work in their lives.”
More than a dozen speakers from academia, ministry organizations, and the pastorate—each with proven track records in leadership—led sessions and workshops. Attendees had 27 different programs from which to choose. Exhibitors from a range of groups also attended, offering resources and information.
The workshops were geared toward anyone involved in church work and volunteering, including teachers, greeters, counselors, youth leaders, and seniors.
Keynote speaker at the conference was BBC&S President Jim Jeffery. His messages and PowerPoint notes on leadership and the life of Joshua from the three general sessions are available online.
A BBC Today video news segment on the conference will be posted online soon at bbc.edu.
