Seeking Cancer Support Ministry

Do you know of a church that has a cancer support ministry? Gayle, a deacon’s wife from Batavia, NY, writes, “We have several ladies this past year, including myself, that have had or have now cancer. I`m in recovery now and feel led to start a cancer encouragement (support) group for the ladies in the church, plus an outreach to community unsaved. Getting info and doing the ground work is the stage we are at.” In response to this inquiry, if you have information regarding a cancer support  in response to this inquiry, please let us know.

Summer Missions Opportunity

Summer Missions/Service Opportunity for your youth group! The staff at  Camp Gilead, Carnation, WA, is looking for a group of 10 -20 high school students and leaders to serve one-two weeks in their Day Camp Ministry. The Day Camp director will train your students to serve as day camp counselors for kids K – 3rd grade. There is no cost for food and lodging for your youth group and several weeks are available for Summer 2010 and additional weeks for 2011. Pews Available in MN  Pastor Randy Charlton and Calvary Baptist Church, Chatfield, MN, have 20 – 12′ pews to give away.  They have orange/gold padded seats and seat backs with a dark wood stain.  Pews are in fair to good condition.  Available immediately. Registration Open for Spring Online Courses 

Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary announces the online availability of three new courses in the Spring 2010 semester: TH510 Dispensationalism, NT520 New Testament Introduction, and PC625 Counseling Those with Disorders and Addictions. Applications and registrations are being accepted through the end of January (classes start January 26).
