Edward Spencer, a pastor and professor, died March 25. He was 98.
For 47 years, Edward was a professor of language and literature at Cedarville University. Following retirement he continued to substitute teach for 10 years in the Clark County, Ohio, school system.
An ordained minister, he also served as a pastor and interim pastor, including pastor of Penfield Junction Baptist Church, Lorain, Ohio.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, in 2004.
He is survived by his children, Kathy Spencer, Debbie (Marion) Vallery, and Bruce Spencer; two grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
