DEARBORN, Mich.—What does it mean to “serve the Lord?” For some Talents For Christ national competitors, it could mean anything from hard labor, to singing, to Bible teaching. At least that’s what the teens from Nevada Baptist Church, Iowa, have been doing the last two weeks.
DEARBORN, Mich.—It’s a family affair—or something like that—at the 2013 National Talents For Christ Group Competition. The event began Wednesday afternoon at the GARBC Conference, where several siblings performed together.

The 2012 Talents For Christ competition will be held on the campus of Baptist Bible College, Clarks Summit, Pa., on June 28. All contestants and parents should attend a contest meeting in the Baptist Bible Seminary Chapel at 9:00 a.m. Events begin at 1:00 p.m. in BBC’s Jackson Hall.
CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa.— Nervous laughter and humming echoed throughout Jackson Hall as six groups warmed up for the National Talents For Christ group competition. Students performed in categories ranging from puppets to vocal ensembles throughout the afternoon.
As the national Talents For Christ competition nears, state competitions within GARBC associations around the country are under way.
