Pray for Three Concerns

Church Plant in Wisconsin
Ed Fuller, Wisconsin Association of Regular Baptist Churches (WARBC) State Representative, asks us to pray for Heritage Christian Church—A Regular Baptist Fellowship, in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. It was an established work in a different denomination, but the pastor was leading the congregation to become a Baptist church. The church attendance dwindled after the pastor’s death, and the church asked the WARBC to take the work. Ed Fuller, Steven Dray (Calvary Baptist Church, Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin), and Joshua Sherman (First Baptist Church, Kiel, Wisconsin), assist in the preaching. Please ask the Lord to give stability and growth to this group and to provide for the financial needs of maintaining the building. The church would like to see an attendance of 50 within six months.

Evangelistic Outreach in New Jersey
Faith Baptist Church in Erial, New Jersey (Pastor Charles and Jan Robinson), operates a program called Open Cupboard, which provides food for needy people in its community. The church currently serves 100 families a month, and it recently received a $10,000 grant to provide food for more people. The church follows up on those who come for food, and it has already gained several new families. Pray for the Lord’s help for Pastor Robinson, Bob and Kathy Belka, and Don and Toni VanArtsdalen, who operate the program, for continued outreach through this ministry, and for God’s blessing on the church.

Mrs. Yvonne Pickering, wife of the late Ernest Pickering, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 10. A funeral service was held in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, February 13. Mrs. Pickering served with her husband as he ministered as a pastor, as the president of Baptist Bible College and Seminary, Northwest Baptist Seminary, and Central Baptist Theological Seminary, and as an administrator for Baptist World Mission. Dr. Pickering also served several terms on the Council of Eighteen. Please pray for their children, Lloyd and Dawn, and their families.
