SHERIDAN, Mich.—Stewart P. Cottle, a man well known for his passion for teaching and helping, died Jan. 4. He was 64.
Stewart recently began serving with Bibles International, a Bible translation and literacy ministry in Grand Rapids, after spending 20 years living and working in Siberia.
Prior to living in Siberia, he trained and worked as an aircraft pilot and mechanic. He worked for passenger and freight airlines and then taught aircraft maintenance at Missionary Aviation Institute, Mocksville, North Carolina; Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music; and Lansing Community College.
Stewart attended Moody Bible Institute; Delta University in Saginaw, Michigan; and Piedmont Bible College.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Deborah; and his children, Anne Hutchens and Sean Cottle.
A funeral service will take place Jan. 15 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Midland, Michigan.
