HORSEHEADS, N.Y.—Sidney Aldrich, a longtime pastor, died July 9. He was 93.
Sidney pastored several churches, including Hillcrest Baptist Church, Elmira, New York; Eckhart (Maryland) Baptist Church; Tabernacle Baptist Church, Williamsport Pennsylvania; and University Heights Baptist Church, Evansville, Indiana. Since 1995 he was the visitation pastor at First Baptist Church in Horseheads, making more than 35,000 visits to people during his ministry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith, in 1995 and a son, Dean, in 2015.
His is survived by four sons, Thomas, Gilbert, David, and Paul; and seven grandchildren.
