OLYMPIA, Wash.—Doris Merle Wiley Cox, a former curriculum writer for Regular Baptist Press, died on Sept. 6. She was 86.
Doris graduated from Multnomah Bible School and attended nursing school. Her husband, George, now retired, was a longtime pastor of Regular Baptist churches on the West Coast. Doris wrote curriculum for Regular Baptist Press in the early 1950s and numerous articles for Sunday School take-home papers in later years.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, George, and their six children, Catherine, Neal, Susan, Keith, Dean, and Bruce.
A memorial service was held at Sleater-Kinney Road Baptist Church on Sept. 17.
