Earl Dannenberg, Longest-Serving Missions Professor at FBBC&TS

SEBRING, Fla.—Earl Dannenberg, pastor, missionary, and longtime missions professor at Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary, Ankeny, Iowa, died  on Dec. 9, 2010. He was 81.

After pastoring First Baptist Church, Holland, Mich., for two years, Earl and Shirley Dannenberg spent the next 30 years (1954–1984) serving as missionaries with Baptist Mid-Missions in Chad and the Central African Republic. In 1984, Earl and Shirley joined the faculty of Faith under assignment from Baptist Mid-Missions and served until their retirement in 2002. While at Faith, Earl was instrumental in starting Northridge Baptist Church, Des Moines, Iowa, and served as its interim pastor for a year.

Earl holds the distinction of being the longest-serving missions professor at Faith. The Dannenbergs were honored at the 2002 graduation services for their long and fruitful ministry at the school.

Earl is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughters, Carol Carew and Robin Bullis; sons, John and Michael; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
