GlennArmstong_inlineVENICE, Fla.—Glenn Arthur Armstrong, a longtime pastor, died Sept. 3. He was 81.

Armstrong received his bachelor’s degree from Detroit Bible College and his doctorate of divinity from Denver Baptist Bible College. He married Frances McElmurry on June 30, 1956.

He was a pastor for 55 years in Michigan, Indiana, Minnesota, and Hawaii. He loved pastoring and caring for people at Calvary Baptist Church, Rochester, Minnesota, for 21 years, where he also helped start a Chinese church. He was also involved 23 times in church building programs.

Armstrong was a beloved pastor and enjoyed teaching from God’s Word. He wrote a daily devotional called “Momentum” and monthly articles called “Crossviews.” He enjoyed research, writing, and helping others.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; three children, Jay, Lisa Nielsen, and Jill Smith; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
