UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash.—Clara V. Brown, wife, mother, and retired missionary, died on April 26, 2010.
Clara and Bill Brown were missionaries to the Central African Republic with Baptist Mid-Missions. After their retirement, Clara and Bill served as secretaries at Discovery Baptist Church, Gig Harbor, Wash., and worked on the English-to-Sango translation and proofreading of Sunday School lessons and New Testament Bible books for use in Africa.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, and keeping in touch with family, friends, and many acquaintances.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, William, on Oct. 15, 2009, and two brothers, Paul and Wilmar.
She is survived by six sons, Jonathan, David, Daniel, Donald, Ronald, and Jacques; three sisters; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
