Anna Mae Lewis, Wife of Former Baptist Mid-Missions President

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio—Anna Mae Lewis, wife of former pastor and Baptist Mid-Missions president, died on May 7, 2011, at age 91.

Anna assisted her husband, Dr. Allan E. Lewis, in his pastorates in Charleston, W.Va., and Cleveland and Euclid, Ohio, and during his 23 years as president of Baptist Mid-Missions. Anna was a member of Nottingham Baptist Church, Willoughby Hills, Ohio, and attended Maranatha Baptist Church in Sebring, Fla.

A graduate of Fort Wayne Business College and Moody Bible Institute, Anna worked as a secretary at the former TRW Corporation (Valve Division) in Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan, and two sisters, Grace Johnson and Martha Reiser.

She is survived by her son, David; her daughter, Carol Johnston; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Wallace Nelson; and two sisters, Evangeline Miller and Leah Schuster.
