WESTFIELD, Wis.The Wisconsin Association of Regular Baptist Churches has hosted the 39th annual men’s retreat, held this year at Camp Fairwood near Westfield.

On Friday night nearly 200 men enjoyed a traditional prime rib dinner. Clarence Peterson from Shepherds Home Ministry headed his crew of dedicated helpers in the kitchen.

GARBC National Representative John Greening spoke to a group of men that overflowed the chapel. While the chapel sessions highlighted the retreat, the men also enjoyed softball, volleyball, paintball, archery, rifle and shotgun competitions, and the annual golf outing.

Camp Fairwood provided a quiet, peaceful, rustic setting in which to reflect God’s greatness, along with the opportunity to fellowship with other men in various group activities. Men are encouraged to mark their calendars for the 2008 men’s retreat, held each year in September on the weekend following Labor Day.
