MANIPUR, India—Dec. 21 marked a special day of celebration in Northeast India. Kipgen Llunsei has translated the book The Doctrine and Administration of the Church by Dr. Paul Jackson into the tribal language of Thadou Kuki. Pastors and church leaders from the area gathered at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Leimakhong, Manipur, India, for a time of thanksgiving to God for this gift of love and investment in the Lord’s work.

The Kukis are an ethnic group spread throughout the Northeastern region of India, Northwest Burma, and Chittagong Hill Tracts in Bangladesh. Now, through funding by Gospel Literature Services, these people will have access to the book that is regarded as a classic on church polity.

Gospel Literature Services has provided Biblical literature worldwide—or the funds to produce that literature on mission fields—since 1973. While many of the resources are produced initially in English, some partnering associations and their affiliated churches are translating them into the heart language of the people whom they serve.

Kipgen Llunsei is a pastor within the Fellowship of Biblical Baptist Churches of Manipur. This association is in the application process for joining the International Partnership of Fundamental Baptist Ministries. Chris Hindal, director of GARBC International Ministries, says, “Praise God for the vision of this brother to strengthen the work of the Lord among these people.”
