Six Churches Join GARBC Fellowship

SCHAUMBURG, Ill.—Six Baptist churches have joined the GARBC, approved by vote of messengers to the 2010 GARBC Conference in the business session held on Tuesday, June 22.

New Churches to GARBC Fellowship

  • Fil-American Baptist Church (Chicago, Ill.)
  • Harvest Baptist Church (Williamsburg, Iowa)

Mission Churches

  • Chalco Hills Baptist Church (Omaha, Neb.)
  • Desert Hills Baptist Church (Buckeye, Ariz.)
  • Heritage Baptist Church (Berlin, Wis.)
  • Oasis Baptist Church (Auburndale, Fla.)

In other action, the messengers to the 2010 GARBC Conference approved the following churches’ removal from the GARBC fellowship:

Desire to be unaffiliated

  • First Baptist Church of Ovid (Ovid, Mich.)
  • Gainesville Baptist Church (Gainesville, Fla.)
  • Lake Baptist Church (Lake, Mich.)
  • Mount Pleasant Baptist Church (Alliance, Ohio)
  • Village Baptist Church (Chesaning, Mich.)

Desire to be unaffiliated (reason stated) due to separation issues

  • Oak Road Community Baptist Church (Davison, Mich.)
  • New Boston Baptist Church (New Boston, N.H.)

Desire to be unaffiliated (reason stated) due to doctrinal differences

  • Berlin Heights Baptist Church (Berlin Heights, Ohio)
  • Sovereign Grace Baptist Church (Enumclaw, Wash.)

Dissolved or Merged

  • Bible Baptist Church (Lowville, N.Y.)
