Pastor Begins Serving as Police Chaplain

chaplainsBRITT, Iowa—Greg Baum, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, completed his final interview on April 24 to begin serving as the police chaplain for District 8 of the Iowa State Patrol. That same day, he attended the Annual Iowa State Patrol Spring Chaplain Conference. As in past years, Dick Dayton and James Reynolds also attended the conference in their faithful service as police chaplains. Dayton retired from the pastorate of Urbandale Baptist Church, Des Moines, in December 2012. Reynolds is associate pastor of Nevada (Iowa) Baptist Church. The IARBC says, “Please pray for these men as they minister to the troopers and officers of the Iowa State Patrol.”
