DES MOINES, Iowa—Michael “Paul” Nemmers, 29, son of Pastor Mike and Linda Nemmers of First Baptist Church, Grundy Center, Iowa, went Home to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 17, after a tragic fall.
Paul had lived in the Waterloo/Grundy Center area of Iowa since 1990, when his family relocated from Blue Earth, Minn. He received Christ as his Savior during his senior year in high school at Waterloo Academy, and attended Faith Baptist Bible College, Ankeny, Iowa.
Paul is described as having a servant’s heart, having compassion toward any who crossed his path.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 9 to 11 a.m., with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. at Saylorville Baptist Church, 6429 NW 6th Dr., Des Moines, where Paul’s uncle, Pat Nemmers, is pastor.
Survivors include his siblings, Rebekah Boyd, Nathan, Rachel, David, and Jonathan.
