CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa.—Developing successful ways to Biblically deal with fears will be the key focus of the powerful Men’s Conference at Baptist Bible College and Seminary. “Fearless” is the theme of the May 18–19 conference, an annual retreat-style event offering spiritual encouragement and revitalization. It will be a unique time for laymen, pastors, and Christian leaders to be challenged by the Bible and each other.

Fears strangle creativity and quench courage. It doesn’t have to be that way. The conference will provide men valuable steps to deal with legitimate and illegitimate fears to grow in their faith in Jesus Christ.

Inside the Conference

Dr. Jim Lytle, vice president and provost at BBC&S, will be the keynote speaker. An alumnus of BBC&S, Dr. Lytle attends Summit Baptist Bible Church in Clarks Summit.

Aside from Dr. Lytle’s messages, a range of workshops tackling life issues will be offered by dynamic speakers, including Dr. Chris Davis (a member of Heritage Baptist Church, Clarks Summit, and 2010 GARBC Service Award recipient) on stress, Ted and Sherri Boykin (members of Summit Baptist Bible Church) on marriage, Mike Brandon on evangelism, Kevin Stiles on small groups, Dr. Steve Silverstein on addictions, Ken Shepard on athletics, Dr. Bill Higley on leadership, Dr. Don McCall on pastoral issues, and Tom Bevan on financial planning.

Before the conference and in between times of teaching, attendees may choose to take part in sports tournaments, bowling, a paper rocket competition, Minute-to-Win-It competition, and an evening song fest.

On-campus housing is included in registration. Pre-conference housing is also available. Registration, costs, discounts, and other information are available at www.bbc.edu/mensconference.
