SCHAUMBURG, Ill.—Several years ago Gospel Literature Services funded the first printing of Unger’s Bible Handbook in Bengali. In fact, it was the first Bible commentary to be available in that language. Five thousand copies were printed and distributed to pastors and Bible school students, depleting the supply of what the bookstore staff in Chittagong, Bangladesh, says is the most sought-out book by national pastors.

GLS has stepped up and funded the second printing of this excellent resource. This time a portion of the shipment will be earmarked for the Bengali-speaking pastors in Assam, India, and the rest will be used in Bangladesh. Bengali is the first language of the people of Bangladesh and is also spoken in West Bengal and Assam, India.

By funding Unger’s Bible Handbook, Gospel Literature Services continues its mission of resourcing independent Baptist churches with Biblical resources to enable churches to fulfill the Great Commission. “Thank you to all who donated to make this project a reality,” says Director Chris Hindal. “God is glorified by your giving.”
