FBFA Conference a Blessing

EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y.—This year’s national conference of the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship Association took place July 13-17, 2008, at the Double Tree Hotel. Pastors and lay workers enjoyed great music, dynamic messages, and sweet fellowship throughout the week. Hosts Pastor Milton Kornegay and his church, Central Baptist, welcomed the group and facilitated the conference with a servant spirit. Pastors and pastor’s wives received words of encouragement at Central Baptist, with a dinner to follow. Keynote evening speakers included Dr. Aaron Lavender, and Dr. Alan McFarland, president of the FBFA. Practical workshops rounded out during the day and could be taken for credit. Group events included a Sunday afternoon picnic, a trip to Niagara Falls, and a fish fry. The music provided by church choirs and individual soloists was outstanding. The week concluded with a formal banquet on Thursday evening.

Dr. Jim Vogel, GARBC assistant national rep, and his wife, Jeannie, were privileged to participate in the FBFA conference this year and make many new friends during the week. Jim was able to share greetings from the GARBC and pass out free books to the pastors on behalf the Association. Jeannie participated in the fellowship time with pastor’s wives. The GARBC has enjoyed good fellowship with this fundamental group in the past, and many of their churches have dual memberships in the FBFA and the GARBC.
