Faith Baptist Installs Pastor Slaughter

SALEM, Ore.—Pastor Craig Slaughter has defied the adage, “You can’t go home again.” After being saved as a teen through the ministry of Faith Baptist Church in Salem, Oregon, then leaving to attend Faith Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Ankeny, Iowa, and serving as pastor in Norwalk, Iowa, Craig is indeed back home. On Sunday, July 26, Faith Baptist Church held an installation service to welcome its new pastor, Craig Slaughter.

Many ministry colleagues took part in the service, including pastors Carl Hills, Steven Reed, Jim Moore, Gerald Clark, Dewayne Lebow, and Tim Baker with John Greening, GARBC national representative, as the keynote speaker. As a teen, Pastor Slaughter was discipled under the ministry of former lead pastor Carl Hills, who now serves as an associate pastor on the Faith Baptist staff. The afternoon installation service was preceded by a bountiful luncheon supplied by the church family and was followed by a dessert reception. Pastor Slaughter and his wife, Tracy, have six children—Trevor, Shayla, Charles, Emmie, Samantha, and Miya.
