Churches to Observe GARBC Sunday

SCHAUMBURG, Ill.—Churches are gearing up for GARBC Sunday, to be celebrated Oct. 18. Sunday services will highlight ministries that the GARBC provides for churches and show the international impact of the association. John Greening, GARBC national representative, states, “The most common response of a church person to a GARBC presentation is, ‘Wow! I never knew all that was happening.’ Raising awareness of the GARBC benefits every church and the association.”

GARBC Sunday promotional packets have been mailed to all churches, containing a DVD called GARBC: Get the BIG Picture, with additional videos highlighting Talents For Christ and The Quest (young Baptist leaders). The packets also include a new GARBC overview brochure, GARBC poster and bulletin insert, and a letter from the national representative. As part of the day, churches are asked to receive an offering to help with the financial needs of GARBC ministries. Through this special effort churches will have a greater understanding of the GARBC motto, Together We Can Accomplish More!

The GARBC Resource Center staff would enjoy hearing about your church’s celebration. Please send the Baptist Bulletin a photo and a brief description of your church’s GARBC Sunday!
