Bible Baptist church_INKOKOMO, Ind.—Bible Baptist Church honored Bill and Lois Carmichael as they prepare to retire after more than 50 years of ministry.

The Carmichaels served with Evangelical Baptist Missions from 1955 until 2002, ministering in Mali (1955–1975), Great Britain (1976–1984), in the home office as field director (1984–1991), and again in Great Britain (1992–2002).

Following their retirement from EBM, Bible Baptist Church invited Bill to join its staff as associate pastor of senior ministries and missions. In that capacity, Bill and Lois have been greatly loved for their passion for missions, their care of the church’s missionaries, and their service to the senior saints and the ill of the church. Now 80 years young, they have announced their retirement from official ministry as of the end of 2013.

In gratitude for their years of unselfish ministry, the church gave them a trip to one country of the world they have yet to visit: Israel. The trip is scheduled for May 2014 with Ancient Tours.
