Melbourne Stadt, Pastor

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—Melbourne “Mel” Stadt, a pastor, died May 1. He was 94.

Stadt was a 1941 graduate of Moody Bible Institute, where he earned a bachelor of divinity degree. He pastored churches in Michigan, Iowa, and Illinois. His wife, Eleanor, preceded him in death on Dec. 29, 2011, after 69 years of marriage. He is survived by his son, Jerry; his daughter, Jeanne Carroll; three grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will held May 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Allegro at College Harbor senior living community in St. Petersburg.
