IowaRetreat_inlineVENTURA, Iowa—Over 400 ladies gathered at Iowa Regular Baptist Camp for its annual Women’s Renew Conference Sept. 5 and 6. “As usual,” says Emily Felderman, “IRBC rolled out the red carpet for the ladies this year with excellent food, friendly staff, and a wide variety of activities to take part in.” Emily’s husband, Marshall, is pastor of First Baptist Church, Russell, Iowa.

The ladies enjoyed the camp’s many activities, such as the zip line, archery, miniature golf, climbing wall, and moonlit boat rides. They also browsed vendors’ booths showcasing a variety of products, such as home décor, jewelry, baby and children’s accessories, and cleaning products; shopped on-site; made crafts; and decorated cupcakes.

Mel and Peggy Walker shared excellent challenges during chapel and the optional workshops. Peggy is an instructor of women’s ministry at Baptist Bible College, Clarks Summit, Pa. Mel is cofounder and president of Vision for Youth and a Regular Baptist Press author. The Walkers “encouraged us from Galatians 6 to live intentionally with harvest in mind and to evaluate our philosophy and purpose for life,” Emily says. “The workshops focused on bridging the generational gap in our churches and on growing hearts for God.”

The Women’s Renew Conference is sponsored by the Iowa Association of Regular Baptist Churches. It is designed for women who are college age and older to deepen their relationship with God and build relationships with women in their churches and across the state of Iowa.
