Retreat1_inlineHILLSBORO, Ind.—Twin Lakes Camp and Conference Center hosted its annual ladies’ retreat April 22 and 23, with 114 women from Indiana and Illinois participating.

Speaking on the theme “Set Free,” Michelle Thompson shared what she has learned about the joy and freedom that comes from knowing God. Thompson grew up attending Twin Lakes Camp as a camper and then served as a counselor during the summers of 2007 and 2008. “[I] love to come back to help out at retreats,” she says. She is now a pediatric physical therapist at St. Vincent Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis.

“Besides the great chapels and Friday night steak dinner, the ladies participated in both active and nonactive activities while at camp,” says Donna Beight, secretary at the camp and wife of Executive Director Jon Beight. Ladies had the options of nighttime zip-lining and hiking, trap shooting, fishing, boating, knife throwing, and more. Beight says, “The weather was beautiful, the fellowship sweet, and the conversations centered around God’s Word brought glory to God.”

Twin Lakes Camp and Conference Center has welcomed churches, students, and adults to its 210-acre property since 1950 and is one of several camps affiliated with the National Association of Regular Baptist Camps.
