PuntaFordaFL_inlinePUNTA GORDA, Fla.—Several students from Peace River Baptist Church attended “See You at the Pole” at their public school on Sept. 24. Associate Pastor Peter Klotzbach was there to encourage the students as they stood for Jesus Christ before their peers.

Klotzbach says that many Christian students gathered that morning to lift their friends, their school, and the government before the Lord in prayer. One student played the guitar in the background. “It was encouraging to see the local newspaper out that morning recording the event. A couple of Peace River’s students were featured in pictures in the next morning’s edition. It was a great way for the students to practice being a witness in their ‘Jerusalem,’” says Klotzbach.

The youth group is also planning to participate in “Take Your Bible to School” on Oct. 16 as part of this year’s “Day of Dialogue” that aims to get students talking with their friends about relevant issues from a Biblical perspective. Klotzbach asks people to “pray that the teens will have opportunity and boldness to share their faith as they engage their culture for Christ.”
