SUGARCREEK, Ohio—The Ohio Women for Missions held its annual retreat at Carlisle Inn Nov. 1415.

OWM, now in its 90th year, is a ministry of the Ohio Association of Regular Baptist Churches and exists to support, pray for, and promote missions. An auction of gift baskets raised over $2,000 for the group’s project of collecting at least $10,000 to help missionaries in Ghana purchase property to build a school. The addition of a homemade quilt to the assortment of gift baskets brought an exciting winning bid of over $300.

Peggy Walker spoke on the topic “When God Shifts Our Gears.” Peggy is a former adjunct instructor of women’s ministry and Christian education at Clarks Summit University and Faith Baptist Bible College. She and her husband, Mel, president of Vision for Youth, attend Heritage Baptist Church, Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania.
