LadiesRetreat3_inlineSUGAR CREEK, Ohio—”Women Like Us, Touching Lives” is the emphasis this year for Ohio Women for Missions. Dr. Roseanne Coleman of Tennessee and Dr. Joy Fagan of Springfield, Ohio, encouraged the women in this theme at their fall retreat Nov. 13 and 14 at the Carlisle Inn. Two hundred women attended from many churches in Ohio and several surrounding states.

“We were truly exhorted, educated, and encouraged,” says Linda Luedeman, OWM president. Staying true to OWM’s purpose, the women also took time to encourage missionaries in attendance. Linda says, “What a blessing to take time to laugh, love, and cry together.”

Each year OWM works to raise funds for a missions project, alternating each year between a project in the U.S. and outside the country. This year the group is aiding Baptist Church Planters, based in Grafton, Ohio. The women’s generosity, along with fun activities, have brought in over $4,000. The project will end in April 2015.
