M4Conference_inlineOSWEGO, Ill.—Harvest New Beginnings hosted a two-day M4: Ministry Enrichment Conference for pastors, designed to offer encouragement, inspiration, wisdom, and friendship. Using a unique format focusing on topics chosen by those in attendance, the pastors on Nov. 2 and 3 were allowed to brainstorm, share their experiences, and offer insights, modeling the Biblical concept of iron sharpening iron.

The main sessions by Pastor Scott Poling looked at Elijah in the Bible. Gleaning from 1 Kings 17—19, Poling encouraged pastors while teaching how to climb out of the valleys of fear, loneliness, despair, and self-pity.

Those in attendance considered the conference valuable, with some offering the following comments: “Loved the discussion.” “It was very applicable to the pastor’s life.” “I enjoyed the ongoing group discussion even during sermon portions.” “Nice size group for interaction.”

Poling and Mickey Farlow, pastor of care ministries, are excited to see how the Lord will use the seeds planted this year and are already planning for next year’s M4 conference, to be held Nov. 7 and 8.
