Regular Baptist Builders Club Assists in Launching Leadership Residency Program

NAMPA, Idaho—Recognizing that the United States needs more good churches and men to lead them, Pastors Ryan Frank and Luke Johnston of Involve Church launched a pastoral residency program with the help of Baptist Network Northwest and Regular Baptist Church Planting.

Last spring, BNN helped Involve Church purchase and start remodeling an older church building with an attached home. In addition, Regular Baptist Church Planting recently launched a church residency program that provides funding for up to 12 months. With help from both of these networks, Involve Church can provide housing and funding for a one-year residency program designed to help qualified men gain experience in planting and revitalizing churches.

Involve Church has already welcomed its first pastoral resident: Josh Carpenter. He and his wife, Laura, relocated from Northern California to Nampa after Josh completed his MDiv from Baptist Bible Seminary, where he met Luke Johnston through online classes. In California, Josh worked in pastoral ministry for five years and is now excited about pursuing church planting. After he finishes the residency program, he hopes to join a church planting team in the Treasure Valley area of Idaho.
