GOconference_inlineWEST DES MOINES, Iowa—Teens across Iowa attended the Iowa Association of Regular Baptist Churches’ GO Conference. This annual event, held in three locations across the state simultaneously, is designed to challenge, equip, and motivate students to share the gospel. Nearly 180 students and leaders attended on Saturday, Aug. 20.

Speakers were Dave Callison, assistant director of Iowa Regular Baptist Camp; Jim Tillotson, president of Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary; and Mike Augsburger, pastor of Willow Creek Baptist Church in West Des Moines. They taught the “why” and “how” of sharing the gospel at Nevada (Iowa) Baptist Church, Harvest Baptist Church in Williamsburg, and Grace Baptist Church in Harlan. Free gospel resources were given to the students who attended.

“The hope of this conference is to remind students of the amazing and endless opportunities they have to share the gospel with others,” says Greg Gosnell, associate pastor of youth and children’s ministries at Faith Baptist Church, Mason City, Iowa, and a member of the IARBC State Youth Committee. “By equipping and motivating students to share, the prayer is to see teenagers leading other teenagers to Christ.”
