The Council of 18 meets in Arlington Heights, Ill.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill.—The Council of 18 met at the GARBC home office for a fruitful and encouraging two days of meetings.

The council members’ time together was marked by unity and forward thinking as they discussed issues such as church planting, revitalization, reproducing leaders, the GARBC national conference, and encouraging more churches to partner with other churches to reach people with the gospel.

The Council of 18 is a group of men nominated by the churches of the GARBC and elected at the GARBC national conference. The council helps provide encouragement and guidance to National Representative Mike Hess and other ministry directors within the GARBC.

Each member is either a pastor or ministry leader in good standing at a GARBC church.

The council’s meetings always begin with Scripture reading and prayer, asking God to give Biblical wisdom as the group discusses important issues facing churches.

Please be on the lookout for important and innovative ministry initiatives that will be announced in coming months.
