Flint Church Launches Second Campus

FLINT, Mich.—Emmanuel Church has launched a second campus. When a nearby Baptist church had dwindled to only 30 people, Emmanuel Church adopted that ministry to revitalize it under Emmanuel’s own name.

“God has truly done an amazing work,” says Pastor John Scally. He thanks Generate, a ministry of the GARBC, for its consultation and advice in launching the campus.

Late last year 20 people from Emmanuel Church’s Flint campus formed the launch team to begin the campus in Grand Blanc, about 11 miles south of Flint.

The Grand Blanc campus’s first service was Jan. 9, with 110 people attending. Since that Sunday, about 120 people have been attending each week.

But the culmination of the team’s work came with a hard launch on Easter Sunday. That morning 304 people attended the service. The next Sunday was called Come Back Sunday, with people enjoying inflatables, prizes, and food after the service.

“We are thrilled to see what God has done so far, and we know the best is yet to come,” John says. “This fall we plan to launch our small groups ministry and Upward flag football outreach. Please pray with us that God will save people in Grand Blanc, Michigan.”
