HURLOCK, Md.—The DelMarVa Baptist Fellowship met for its fall conference Nov. 9 at Grace Baptist Church. Pastors, ministry leaders, and members of 10 churches attended this time of fellowship and Bible teaching.

Among those present were Bill and Kathy Brittain, ABWE missionaries to Liberia. Kathy spoke to the ladies during a breakout session.

Additionally, Dave Talley, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, shared a report concerning another ABWE missionary family, Patrick and Shel Reed. The Reeds, sent by Grace Baptist Church, have served full-time in The Gambia since August and recently baptized their first new believer there.

Along with Kathy Brittain, three other people served as speakers. Tony Lawson, pastor of Damascus Road Community Baptist Church, Cockeysville, Maryland, opened the conference. His church is one of the newest in the DelMarVa Baptist Fellowship. Kelly D’Armi spoke in a men’s session. Kelly and his wife, Melanie, are members of Faith Baptist Church, Delmar, Maryland. And Carl Gibbs, associate pastor of Evangel Baptist Church, Hagerstown, Maryland, spoke during a main session.

Participants were also blessed by the attendance of Jim and Gloria Johnson of North Carolina. Jim is a retired pastor and state representative of the DelMarVa Baptist Fellowship. He was in the area getting coaching on how to start a podcast.

After the last session, attendees stayed for a meal provided the host church. That gathering was the first such event for the DelMarVa Baptist Fellowship since the outbreak of the pandemic, and the participants were glad to fellowship with one another.
