EVART, Mich.—Calvary Baptist Church ordained its associate pastor, Curtis Rider, Sept. 26.

Curtis has served at Calvary Baptist since June 2019, serving primarily in youth ministry.

“Curtis has demonstrated his calling, giftedness, and effectiveness in ministry over the past two years, and this ordination weekend simply confirmed that for us,” says Pastor Scott Farrell. “Titus 1:6 highlights that a qualification for pastoral ministry is holding firmly to sound doctrine, and Curtis showed his proficiency through humble and Biblical responses.”

Curtis and his wife, Anneliese, are graduates of Moody Bible Institute. Curtis also earned an MA from Moody Theological Seminary. Anneliese is the author of the Finley Pike and the SODDa middle school mystery adventure.
