HILLSBORO, Ind.—Crossroads Fellowship held its annual conference at Twin Lakes Camp and Conference Center.

The two-day conference began the evening of Sunday, Sept. 12, with a dedication service for the camp’s new building: a beautiful gym, gift shop, and gathering area with a fireplace. Jon Beight, director of the camp, thanked the many people who gave their time and finances to make the building a reality.

Jon is not only director of the camp but also executive director of Crossroads Fellowship. Speaking to the group, he shared his vision for both ministries. His desire is to see at least one Crossroads Fellowship church in all 92 counties of Indiana. He also realizes that many churches need revitalization, but he is excited about the opportunities that exist.

Mike Hess, GARBC national representative, was the keynote speaker. He delivered helpful and encouraging messages on “Faithful, Skillful, and Joyful from Start to Finish,” a theme that focused on 1 Peter 5:1–4. The morning the conference began, he spoke at East Side Baptist Church in Crawfordsville.

The conference was “very encouraging and uplifting,” says Kerry Watkins, director of church engagement for the GARBC. “There was great fellowship and a cooperative spirit on display throughout the meetings. We are excited about what God is doing through His servants in Crossroads Fellowship.”
