Council of 18 Meets for Important Decisions

By November 13, 2017No Comments

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill.—Council of Eighteen members are meeting Nov. 13–15 to provide care and oversight of the association on behalf of the Regular Baptist churches. A major topic of discussion for the meeting will be the selection of a national representative, pending the retirement of John Greening. The National Representative Search Committee has been actively working since the June 2017 GARBC Conference and will update the council on its progress. The council will also hear a report by National Representative John Greening, as well as ministry updates by additional Regular Baptist Ministries leaders: David Gunn (Regular Baptist Press), Manning Brown (chaplaincy), Chris Hindal (international ministries), Clare Jewell (church planting, Regular Baptist Builders Club), and Mark Johnson (finances). In addition, plans will be finalized for the 2018 GARBC Conference, to be held June 26–29 in Fishers, Indiana. Council newcomers Pastor Nigel Black and Pastor Tim Moore will join returning members for the meeting as the council seeks God’s wisdom and guidance in decisions affecting the association’s future.
