LAUREL, Md.—Churches from Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia gathered for the DelMarVa Baptist Fellowship’s quarterly conference at Grace Baptist Church March 9. The conference enriched all in attendance with Biblical challenges and worship, including a quartet sung by four pastors.

Clare Jewell spoke on the theme “Living on Mission in the 21st Century.” Clare is national church planting coordinator for Regular Baptist Churches and director of Regular Baptist Builders Club.

In the first session, “Listen, Learn, Love,” he challenged the fellowship to engage in intentional relationships with unsaved people, taking opportunities for gospel conversations. In the second session, “Engage, Equip, and Release,” he emphasized the need for an intentional disciple-making path focused on developing leaders.

“The conversation with Clare really showed the need for hospitality in reaching this generation for Christ,” says Jared Mitchell, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, Glen Burnie, Maryland. “This type of hospitality pierces through the barriers of modern society and fosters the development of genuine relationships where the gospel can be shared.”
